Honda is a very powerful brand nowadays, and it has become so famous especially due to Honda motorcycles, which are currently being sold all around the world. The company was founded in 1946, by Soichiro Honda, so it is obvious where does the name Honda motorcycles come from. He wanted to produce cheap means of transport after World War II, that the population would enjoy. So the first Honda motorcycle was released in 1949, and it was named ‘Model D’. The next model was ‘J Benly’, but Honda motorcycles became famous worldwide after the CB models were released.
The CB77 Honda motorcycles models, also known as ‘Super Hawk’, were both excellent and reliable, and they were better than the other similar models manufactured in England. Then, in 1958, Honda began to manufacture the C100 Super Club Honda motorcycles, which were sporty, light, comfy and feasible. With the help of an efficient marketing campaign, the C100 Honda motorcycles became the best selling models of all times. In 1965, along with the release of the first CB450 model, Honda introduced on the market Honda motorcycles which had much stronger engines. A thorough competition with the English motorcycles started immediately, but none of them were able to top the amazing Honda motorcycles. Another step forward was made in 1969, when the CB750 Honda motorcycles appeared, which turned out to be a hit and dominated the market for quite a long time.
In 1980, the marketplace was revolutionized by the luxury Honda motorcycles, Honda Gold Wing. The supremacy of these models was, and still is, unequaled, so these Honda motorcycles gained the nickname of ‘two-wheeler limousines’. Two years later, a new and improved version of the Gold Wing series was released. With an impressive dimension and the characteristic maxi-touring design, the brand new Honda motorcycles immediately caught the eye of the fans. Starting in the 90s, more and more Honda motorcycles models were released. Even nowadays, this impressive brand it getting ready for the launching of the brand new Gold Wing series. These modern Honda motorcycles are scheduled to be released in 2012, so we are looking forward to see what does the future hold for this motorcycle giant.
